Hi there, hope you're having a great Friday!
This is Colm and Simon from CommerceGurus, with a handpicked weekly roundup of eCommerce articles.
This blog post on optimizing product pages emphasizes best practices for improving customer engagement and conversion.
The focus is on stores built with Shopify, but the key principals are the same, whatever platform you are using.
Key strategies include displaying clear, high-quality product images, providing detailed descriptions, highlighting unique selling points, and incorporating customer reviews.
Additionally, creating a smooth, intuitive navigation experience and strategically placing call-to-action buttons enhance usability and encourage purchases.
Some of the examples picked out are excellent, in particular Kettle & Fire, and Outdoor Voices are well worth perusing.

I came across an interesting use of AI recently called MakeUGC. You may have seen short videos on eCommerce sites from influencers or customers reviewing the store's products, normally filmed in a vertical camera mode.
MakeUGC offers a way to do this, using entirely AI. It enables users to generate high-quality video ads quickly and cost-effectively, significantly reducing production time and expenses.
Users can create custom scripts or utilize AI-generated scripts, select creators, and produce videos in minutes.
Personally I think it is always better to use real, authentic videos from customers rather than AI-generated ones, but this is still worth a look.
