Word of mouth marketing has been successfully used by many companies to get their customers to promote their brand by talking about experiences that they’d like to share with their friends and families.
In this superb article by Maria, we’ll take a closer look at how businesses have used word of mouth marketing to connect with their target audience and boost sales.
Along the way, we’ll share actionable tips that you can use to engage customers with your business!

With COVID-19 causing many businesses to close their doors, some are quickly adapting to support their employees, generate income, and deliver quality products and services to customers.
It may seem overwhelming to suddenly move business models and operations online but many have made the leap.
This is a nice blog post from WooCommerce which looks at four food businesses that started selling online during a very challenging business period.
Some of the suggestions such as add-ons and gift cards are applicable for many business categories, not just food, so it's a good post to study.

Brian Dean is back with another huge post full of great SEO tips - this time on off-page SEO.
Don't know what that is? He goes through the topic in great deal, using dozens of informative screenshots to explain everything along the way.
I really think his guides are some of the most useful long-form free content pages you can read. He could easily be charging for these super-valuable nuggets of information.

Although I do love to read about small businesses selling through their own websites, I can't help but feel WooCommerce needs to do more of a marketing push around what it offers.
Shopify does this extremely well as this article illustrates in the UK's Guardian newspaper. But, when you factor in Shopify's monthly cost, the percentage it takes from each sale, and the costs of all the various add-ons, it can get expensive.
Perhaps you could get a similar story published, promoting your own (WooCommerce-based) store.

If you know WooCommerce you've almost certainly come across some of the wonderful code snippets provided by Rodolfo Melogli of Business Bloomer fame.
He's relaunched his Ecommerce & Beyond ebook and Chapter 6 is completely free. In that chapter he describes his sales booster formula and introduces readers to nine marketing steps that give the name to this book.
Rodolfo is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to WooCommerce and at only £9.95 for the Kindle version the full book is extremely affordable.

A customer of ours got in touch this week and mentioned this excellent video from Google's conversions summit.
It covers Sephora, the beauty company and what they did to redesign their much-loved mobile app. It's a very interesting 28-minute presentation for anyone interested in mobile UX design.
