Hi there, hope you're having a great Friday!
This is Colm and Simon from CommerceGurus, with a handpicked weekly roundup of eCommerce articles.

You're just a few bucks shy of free shipping, do you keep shopping or bail on the cart? This was a CRO test undertaken by Harry Molyneux for DTC Pages, examining the psychological impact of lowering the free shipping threshold.
Molyneux tested dropping a client's free shipping threshold from $100 to $90. While this 10% reduction might seem insignificant, the results proved otherwise. The strategic adjustment yielded:
- +2.98% conversion
- 204 extra transactions
- $19,987 extra monthly revenue
What made this adjustment particularly effective was the client's product lineup.
Their most popular item was priced at $94, leaving most shoppers just $6 short of the original $100 free shipping threshold. By lowering the threshold to $90, these customers no longer faced the dilemma of adding more items or paying for shipping.
The test demonstrates how small, data-driven changes to shipping policies can significantly impact consumer behavior and bottom-line results.

Kinsta has introduced Kinsta Automatic Updates, a premium add-on (for $3 a month) designed to streamline the management of WordPress plugins and themes.
This feature automates updates while ensuring site stability through visual regression testing and rollback protection.
The add-on employs visual regression testing by comparing before-and-after screenshots of site pages to detect any discrepancies.
If an issue is identified, the system rolls back the update.
Users can manage all plugin and theme updates through the dashboard, which also provides alerts for outdated or vulnerable plugins and themes.

Product seeding forms the cornerstone of successful influencer marketing, where brands provide products without explicit promotion requirements.
This perspective shift enabled two brothers in the US to sell $100 million worth of silicone rings in just four years using influencer marketing not merely as a traffic source but as the foundation of their entire growth strategy.
This prioritized authentic engagement through memorable unboxing experiences, incorporating personalized elements that encourage natural product sharing.
I thought this was a really interesting approach on getting lift-off with a new brand.
