Hi there, hope you're having a great Friday!
This is Colm and Simon from CommerceGurus, with a handpicked weekly roundup of eCommerce articles.
Enjoy!
I enjoyed this article on single product pages from the good this week and was interested to see how many we've managed to include with Shoptimizer (almost all).
There are some great examples with screenshots included and it's worth spending time comparing with your own store and seeing through an observer's eyes if you're meeting these standards.

This major release is due March 10th, which is only a couple of weeks away. WooCommerce have a short blog post highlighting the biggest changes, as well as an update focusing on their Beta One release.
I primarily like the new dashboard look and feel, it looks like a big improvement on the current notification and reporting facilities.
The action scheduler changes should also make an important speed difference for large WooCommerce stores with many database records so let's see how this evolves.
Also, make sure you read through our updating WooCommerce post before updating a live store to a major release like this one.

I came across a nice gallery of eCommerce components this week called Shop Patterns. There are less than a dozen or so examples so far but hopefully the site continues to be updated and it becomes a really interesting resource.
I liked the multiple screenshots and animations when you click into an individual pattern.

Colm came across an interesting plugin this week called WooCart which offers a separate staging environment to test changes on.
The main difference from other WordPress hosting staging environments is that it will automatically sync changes from the live store before publishing the staging store. No more lost orders or customers.
You can see a video demonstration of the plugin and take up a 7-day trial to see if it works for you.

This looks like a useful Chrome extension which allows you to identify any webfont on any website.
After identifying the font, the extension will suggest more than 60 fonts very similar in style to the one you are searching for.

Latest Shoptimizer updates
If you've been using our Shoptimizer WooCommerce theme, we pushed a minor update this week in version 2.0.1, squashing a couple of bugs and adding some style polish to others. See everything on the theme's changelog page.
That's it for this edition. Simply reply to this email if you have any questions or suggestions, we read every message. Have a great week and best of luck with your projects!
