Hi there, hope you're having a great Friday!
This is Colm and Simon from CommerceGurus, with a handpicked weekly roundup of eCommerce articles.
Note that our Black Friday offer goes live on Monday November 25th. We don't normally run an offer so this one is special!
We'll be sending out a reminder on the day so that you don't miss it!
I've recently come across some really nice examples of size guides on eCommerce sites so thought it would be a perfect time to freshen up our article to include them all.
Some of the sites added to the post include Ministry of Supply, Columbia, ASOS, and Patagonia.
Size guides are a great way to keep customers informed when making purchases on your online store.
You can expect to see a reduction in return orders as a result of people ordering sizes that fit them. This can help your business save costs and offer a better online shopping experience.
In this article, we’ll go over some outstanding eCommerce size guide examples and see how you can include them in your own store using our CommerceKit plugin.

Too few products, and shoppers might miss out. Too many, and they're overwhelmed. This is the product loading dilemma faced by stores every day.
In this interesting presentation, Christian Hol of the Baymart Institute discusses the optimal number of products to display on eCommerce catalog pages.
The right balance is crucial to avoid overwhelming users while ensuring they have enough options to evaluate.
Strategies such as lazy loading and 'load more' buttons can also significantly improve usability, particularly on mobile.

You can't predict who will use your products or what emotional state they'll be in, but by identifying stress cases and designing with empathy, you can create more inclusive user experiences.
In their book, Eric Meyer and Sara Wachter-Boettcher share practical principles drawn from real examples to help designers, developers, and content strategists test for potential design failures and evaluate new features under realistic conditions.
The book provides guidance on building inclusive practices, making a strong case for compassionate, user-centered design that supports a broader range of users.
