Hi there, hope you're having a great Friday!

This is Colm and Simon from CommerceGurus, with a handpicked weekly roundup of eCommerce articles.

PS: Our Community Survey is still open - it takes just five minutes to tell us what to build next. If you use Shoptimizer, CommerceKit, or CommerceGurus Turbo we would really value your comments.

WooCommerce 11.0 Released

WooCommerce 11.0 is now available, bringing a solid mix of performance improvements, bug fixes, and quality-of-life updates.

Store owners will benefit from a smoother checkout experience, improved guest checkout, and a long list of fixes designed to make stores more stable and reliable.

Behind the scenes, WooCommerce is also laying the groundwork for future features, including block-based email editing, abandoned cart emails, and a refreshed Settings experience.

As always with a major WooCommerce release, I'd recommend holding off for a week or two before updating live stores.

That gives any early issues time to surface and be addressed before you upgrade, particularly if your store relies on several third-party plugins or customisations.

Mobile UX Trends 2026: 10 Best Practices

Baymard's latest Mobile UX Trends 2026 report paints a sobering picture of eCommerce on mobile.

After reviewing 71,000+ UX elements across 150+ leading ecommerce sites, it found that 75% deliver only a mediocre mobile experience, with just one site earning a "Good" rating and none achieving "Perfect".

The article highlights 10 practical improvements that can make a real difference, including grouping product variants into a single listing, adding a dedicated search submit button, validating shipping addresses, showing "View All" options in category menus and displaying all colour swatches.

It's an excellent checklist for anyone redesigning a mobile eCommerce experience, with plenty of ideas that can reduce friction and make products easier to discover.

Metorik Editions Q2 2026 Update

Metorik's Q2 2026 update is packed with useful additions for WooCommerce merchants, with the standout feature being Goals.

You can now set targets for almost any metric - such as revenue, average order value, refunds, specific product lines, and track whether you're on pace to hit them throughout the month, rather than waiting until the end.

Another welcome addition is Conditional Extra Costs, which lets you apply shipping, handling, or other costs based on rules such as destination, order value, or product, giving you much more accurate profit reporting.

We use Metorik every day at CommerceGurus, and it's become an essential part of how we monitor our own store.

Using Angie to Create Full Pages in Elementor

Miriam and Roi have put together an excellent webinar showing how Elementor's new AI assistant, Angie, can build an entire landing page from a series of natural language prompts.

Starting from a blank canvas, Angie generates the page layout, creates a design system with colour and font variables, builds product listings, inserts images, and creates a product loop using Elementor's new Atomic elements.

The result isn't a fixed AI mock-up - every section remains fully editable in the visual editor.

The workflow is particularly interesting. Rather than asking AI to build everything in one go, the page is created incrementally through focused prompts - first the design system, then the landing page, followed by products, loops, forms, and refinements.
