WooCommerce shortcodes may not be familiar to everyone. Even if you have a WooCommerce store, it may be a feature you haven’t come across and don’t yet realise how useful they can be in sprinkling product references and buying call to action buttons throughout your site.
These are small code snippets which you can place anywhere on your site to display WooCommerce products or calls to action such as ‘Buy Now’ buttons.

You need your WordPress site to load fast. In Colin's WP Rocket review, he’ll show you how WP Rocket can help you achieve that – it sped up his test site by 47%, which is pretty dang awesome.
This plugin offers an all-in-one approach to WordPress performance optimization that manages to remain beginner-friendly while still offering deeper functionality that advanced users will love. But is it worth paying for?

Basecamp is one of the most popular tools around for managing projects and is used by many web studios to keep client communication in one place.
I was interested to learn this week that they've launched a new Personal tier which includes 3 projects, 20 users, and a gig of storage space for free.
They're marketing this towards freelancers, students, and personal projects. It seems like a great way to give Basecamp a spin without any cost.

A minor release for WooCommerce became available early this week. It should be fine to update your store with it. See our update guide for details on how we recommend doing so.

I don't know about you but when I need to send or receive files from people I revert to Dropbox.
I noticed this week that Firefox has a free facility called Firefox Send which allows you to send files up to 1GB in size without needing to sign in. It has end-to-end encryption and the download can automatically expire after a period of time.
I'd trust Firefox more than Dropbox when it comes to privacy concerns so this looks like a handy service to switch to.
